Today was the worst day so far for me caloricly, but I knew that would happen. It was our anniversary dinner at The Melting Pot that would do me in, but some times you just have to let loose. One thing to focus on was not to go nuts all day, but to go nuts on that one meal for this special occasion.
For breakfast (late…around 11:30) we went to Ihop and tried something from their “lighter fare” menu. We both partook in the Harvest Grain N’ Nut Healthy Combo (~571 calories). I also added 2 pieces of turkey sausage (~120 calories) because, uh, meat is good and that thing didn’t have any. We both thought the HGNNHC was pretty good, we would recommend it.
The rest of the day we really weren’t all that hungry. Jennie had some dry cereal and I had some baked potato chips. By the time dinner rolled around we were ready.
For dinner we went all out and got the “Big Night Out” four course fondue dinner for two. This included a cheese fondue appetizer, salad, entree and chocolate fondue desert. I will let you head over to their website to see what all of that entails, but again this was another restaurant without nutrition information. The only thing I had to go with was someone’s estimate from The Daily Plate, and that is what I went with. I tried to think about it, and I bet the estimate for one person (~2000 calories) is pretty close to correct.

A simple (and slightly boring) blog about trying to publicly record steps to lose weight for a fat guy. And by fat I mean sexy. Nah I mean fat.
