What was that? You love the new site layout? Yeah I thought so.

Another cookout tonight. As a man, not a baby, but a man, I have to eat 2 burgers, there is just no question there. Normally I would cook and eat a couple of the ridiculously tasty Black Angus burgers from Sam’s Club, which taste so good because they are 380 calories each with 30g of fat. Tonight I grilled up 2 of the Jennie-O Lean Turkey Burgers (200 calories and 10g of fat each) and they were VERY good. I would definitely suggest making this substitution for grilling out.

I also started to put some swiss cheese on the turkey burgers, but the calories on just a slice of that cheese was 110 calories. Going with the American Cheese Singles (you know the yellow stuff wrapped in clear plastic), at 60 calories each, allowed me to get a slice for each burger at the same “cost” of one slice of the swiss.

I’ll have to try those, I saw them in the store and assumed they would cook up dry and be hockey puck-like. I’ll give them a shot. Not sure I could give up real cheese for american cheese “food”. Maybe just a dab of light ranch or something might be less, I’ll look up the calories on that and compare….or better yet blue cheese crumbles…mmm.

What is this?

A simple (and slightly boring) blog about trying to publicly record steps to lose weight for a fat guy. And by fat I mean sexy. Nah I mean fat.
